Teen Choice Awards 2012

The Teen Choice awards are an annual awards ceremony aired on the Fox Network. Teens are invited to vote for their winners in music, TV, movies, sports and fashion.

The 2012 TCA were hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale, amongst this year’s winners were Taylor Swift, Kristen Stewart, Breaking Dawn and The Hunger Games.

The TCAs are a great ceremony to watch because the fashion and style of attendees is far more influenced by fun, a nice break from the fashion highlights of British sports this summer where there were actual Fashion Police to enforce dress rules at Ascot!

Nail Of The Day

The last few days it seems as if the Great British Summer is finally upon us and so I wanted to paint my nails a light summery colour.

I decided on using Rimmel Pro French Ivory, which is actually intended to be the tip colour for a French manicure look but looks really cute as an egg shell/pink. Then I put a coat of Models Own Ibiza Mix on top which I think works really well.

Call me cray cray but this colour combo seems very bridal to me - probs not what a bride would wear on her big day but something about the Ivory tones and the glitter reminds me of wedding dresses and champagne bubbles!

The Trench

Last night I watched Bride Wars, again, and all I could think about was

a) How much I want Kate Hudson's dress

b) How much I wish I could pull off a full fringe like Kate Hudson

c) How amazing is Kate Hudson's trench is

This got me thinking about how great the Trench is, plus I like the history that comes with it. For example did you know that it gets its title from the fact that they were worn during WW1 and WW2 by soldiers in the trenches to keep them dry and warm? Crazy!

The trench lived on and is now a staple coat in every girl's wardrobe they're just so practical, especially in England where its pouring with rain despite being mid July!

The Devil Wears Prada

Last night I watched one of my all time favourite films, The Devil Wears Prada. 

Well, it only counts as one of my favourites if you exclude the ending - I mean come on, who would leave working for Miranda Priestly at Runway?!

Apart from the ending though there are so many reasons to love this film from the fantastic cast to the beautiful locations to the dream job. But the absolute best element of the film is the wardrobe, it's amazing!

Style Crush: Kourtney Kardashian

I am a 'reality' show junkie and my favourite show by far is anything including the Kardashians - I love Keeping Up, Khloe and Lamar, Kourtney and Kim Take New York and the old days of Kourtney and Khloe take Miami were amazeballs!

Style-wise my favourite Kardashian is Kourtney. 

Kourtney's style is classic yet she keeps her look up to date by experimenting with new trends and bright colours.

Seriously, how great does she always look? Sexy, yet ladylike.
