Valentine's Gift Guide: Girls

I am a hopeless romantic, and I love Valentine’s Day.
Yes I know, it’s just a huge commercial trick to ply you in to spending more money just as you are rising out of your post Christmas recession.

But now that you mention it, why not let the person you love know how you feel.

It would be mean not to!

This is a gift guide for girls, but there’s no need to stop at your girlfriend. I know I’ll be getting something for my absolute bestie.

Valentines gifts do not need to be expensive either, I like to think that in this guide there’s something for everyone, no matter what stage your relationship is at.

My Favourite Charlotte Looks

About a million years ago I blogged about my favourite Carrie Bradshaw looks. (See here.)

I thought that the time had come to reveal my fave Charlotte York looks.

Charlotte is by far my most loved character.
She's so kind and gentle, the perfect girl girl.
Her outfits are so classy and well put together. I love that she is always feminine and pretty.

She's the Park Avenue princess.

Isn't she just the cutest?!

The Screen Actors Guild Awards

Last night Hollywood's finest got glammed up and headed to the Screen Actors Guild Awards, that's the SAGs.

Let's take a look at what they were wearing...

Maria Menounos

Jessica Chastain

Katrina Bowden

Tina Fey

Claire Danes

I all these ladies look absolutely stunning. A-listers are so lucky, I would love to flaunt around in a beautiful full length dress, but these days a dress code rareyly requires full length gowns, boo!

Prince Harry, if you're reading, I'd love to be whisked away to a royal ball!

Hey, a girl can dream can't she!?

The Golden Globes

Award season is upon us.

The stars of Tinsel Town will be putting on their best frocks and preparing to walk the red carpets.

This month marked the 70th anniversary of the Golden Globes, which recognise excellence in film and television.

So, who looked fabulous?

Well, pretty much everyone.

Amy Adams
Amy Adams looks like a fairytale in this dress. Plus it reminds me of her role in Enchanted. I don’t why some sites put her in the ‘worst dressed’ list. I think she looks really lovely.

Kate Hudson

J-Lo

Olivia Munn

Emily Blunt

Nicole Richie

However, there were a few ladies who I thought didn't quite get it right...

Rachel Wiesz

Halle Berry

Katharine McPhee

Jennifer Garner

I love this woman; she seems like just the best mum ever! But this dress, I’ve got a problem with the cleavage, there’s just too much of it. I feel like it doesn’t suit her. But, the dress is amazing, and she looks beautiful, just put the pups away, Jen!

Tina Fey

What do you think?

Was I too mean?

Sunday Covet

It's been a while since I did a Sunday Covet.

But there's a few things that I really would like...

me

1. Charlotte Multicolour Zip Back Pelmet Skirt
£15, plus Boohoo have a 20% student discount and right now free delivery!
I love this skirt because it has a 60s vibe and looks a bit like boucle which I adore!

2.  H & M sweatshirt
£3.99
I've got a real thing for mint at the moment! Annoyingly the minimum spend on their website is £6 so I'm going to have to go hunting in store!

3. Clinique Even Better Eyes
£25,
I always struggle with bags under my eyes, I think Cliniue are a good and trustworthy brand so I hope that this will solve my problems!

4. Chanel Perfection Lumière
£36,
This would be the most expensive foundation I've ever bought. But I got a free sample in Elle and its honestly the best one I've ever tried. Will certainly be scrimping so that I can justify this purchase!

Wildfox Does Clueless

When I saw this on Laura’s blog Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist I just knew I had to blog about it too!

You know the movie Clueless?

Mini skirts?
High socks?
Huge cell phones?

Yeah, that’s right. The one and only Clueless!

“So okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come
on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair -
ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon?"
[Cher Horowitz, 1995]

If you don’t know this movie and you’re feeling a bit, well…clueless(!) then let me fill you in!
Clueless follows the lives of the privileged girls of Beverly Hills High: Cher, Tai and Dionne. They drive around in Cher’s white jeep, whilst match-making teachers and makeover the new girl. Plus, there’s a whole mean-girls-popularity-contest-slash-love-interest-come-legally-blonde-vibe-too!

I’ve loved this movie from a young age, I mean Cher has a computer that coordinates her outfit – it’s what every girl needs!

Seriously, if you’ve not seen it, you need to!

Anyway,  Wildfox’s spring campaign We’re the kids in America plays tribute to all things Clueless! Take a look at these pics, they’re breath taking!

I fell victim to my own post and am buffering Clueless as I type!
