July|Positive 31 Days, 31 Photos... #31

Untitled #33

Well, here it is folks: the final installment of 31 Days, 31 Photos!

#31

I've been trying to eat healthy recently, and I've been doing quite well. Yesterday mum and I went to Zumba and had to pop in to Waitrose on the way home.
They had this delicious looking cart stacked with sweet treats: crusty almond croissants  sticky maple pecan plaits and pretty little cupcakes.
Well, it was too good to ignore! I decided to pick a carrot and pineapple muffin which I thought must be vaguely healthy - and anyway, what's the point of anything if you can't treat yourself all the timeoccasionally.

I hope you've enjoyed reading my 31 Days, 31 Photos posts. It's been really fun and I like how it has made me feel looking back on the photos!

Kisses,

Well, here it is folks: the final installment of 31 Days, 31 Photos! Enjoy!

#27

On Saturday we had grandma round for lunch. I wore my Rimmel Apocalips Lipgloss. I don't know why I look so tired, I've been going to bed at about 10:30 every night!

#28

On Sunday mum and I took a nice stroll around Bath, I love this walk along the river looking out at the Empire and Weir. It's great to remember that I live somewhere so lovely, most of the time I don't appreciate it!

#29

I've managed to get a trail shift/interview at a local pub in London, so have been searching high and low for a pair of black pumps to wear - as this blurry photo demonstrates!

#30

On Tuesday I made a horrible green smoothie - it was made of Pineapple, Kiwi, Orange Juice, Banana and... Spinach. I don't know that it was the spinach that made it disgusting, but it was horrible. Still, I got to take this fun snap nonetheless!

Recently I have been super busy, nothing particularly exciting, but the days have just kept on coming.

As part of July|Positive here is a snap a day from the past 8 days...

#19

How amazing is this Wisteria?! On Friday night we decided to make the most of the nice weather and mum, dad and I went for an evening stroll around Bath. This is one of the crescents in Bath - quite possibly Landsdown(?)but don't hold me to that. Anyway, here we were on a crescent and this one house had an amazing Wisteria - just look at the intertwining trunk on the railings! It reminded me of something out of Harry Potter, it's the type of plant you can imagine coming alive and trapping you in all its trunk-i-ness.

#20

The next day, still in the walking vibe, mum dad and I went for a walk along the canal in Devises. It was so green (especially the canal!) and pretty!

#21

Sunday night - I made myself a killer chocolate/walnut/snickers cupcake - and it was delicious!
I'm completely into 2 Broke Girls at the moment, and for those who don't know, they have a cupcake business, which makes me crave one every time I watch the show!

#22

Kate Middleton is in labour! To celebrate this I decided that we should have (another) BBQ. I think this summer holds the record for the most BBQs we have ever had in our house, and I LOVE it!

#23

I think KM is such a babe! How lovely did she look presenting our royal baby to the world?! To celebrate I made cupcake, blue for a boy, of course!

#24

All this application business seemed to be paying off when I got a telephone interview with a law firm on Wednesday. Here's my post it for interview prep.

#25

A lovely card sent from a friend, and my darling baby cousin picked me some lavender - feeling loved!

#26

This lush dress was under £7 from Misguided - amazing!!

July|Positive 31 Days, 31 Photos... #16, #17, #18

Here are a few snaps from the last few days!

#16

One of my favourite things about this weather is making the most of eating outside. It prevents me from being tempted to eat in front of an episode of Kim and Kourtney Take Miami! Also, in this heat I have really been enjoying fresh fruit, here's some of momma's Eton Mess! (Minus the cream, because I don't like it!)

#17

On Wednesday we invited my grandparents round for a BBQ dinner followed by a viewing of The Apprentice final! I won't say anything in case some of you haven't watched it yet, but it was a really lovely evening!

#18

Yesterday I did my dad a favour, I mowed the lawn - and I am so impressed that I was able to create the striped effect! I hope he likes it when he comes home tonight!

What have y'all been getting up to? Enjoying the sunshine?!

July|Positive 31 Days, 31 Photos... #9, #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15

Untitled #33

Oh my goodness guys, Summer is here!
I don't know about you, but I am loving this sunshine! Yes, I know the heat is not ideal for sleeping - but I just think it's so silly for us Brits to complain about it being too hot, we never get any sunshine!

Anyway, on with my challenge of 31 Days, 31 Photos...

As you might have guessed, I am struggling somewhat with posting a photo a day - in fact I'm finding it quite difficult to take a photo each day. This is mainly due to the fact that most of my recent days have been spent filling in job applications, but I think I am finally getting the hang of them!
But that will explain if some of my photo choices seem a little mundane...

#9

I thought I would start by sharing this photo of my mum. This is such a classic pose for her, we call her the cat because she is always coming into my room and curling up on the end of the bed!

#10

Recently I have been taking advantage of getting to see more of my wonderful younger brother and we have been trying to play some PS3 (Assasin's Creed) every night!

#11

On Thursday mum, nanny and I went to Carluccio's. Rather than having to pick just one cake nanny and I shared a chocolate brownie and carrot cake, so delicious!

#12

Excuse the cringy and blurry photo! I have been experimenting with different techniques of curling and volumising my hair. Unfortunately, my hair often falls flat within an hour or so, boo!

#13

I was very happy to go back to London this weekend, but it does mean leaving my house super early!

#14

Oh hey, just the view from my new flat for my morning coffee! I am so lucky to have such a lush new flat, I can't wait to move there full time and start my London adventure!

#15

I finally tried The Londoner's one pot pasta recipe, so easy and super delicious! I would highly recommend to any lazy chef!

What have you been up to recently, please share!

July|Positive 31 Days, 31 Photos...#5, #6, #7 and #8

This blogging once a day is quite the challenge, eh?!

I am trying to be really positive and do lots of good things this July which is why I started doing July|positive, inspired by Louise's 30 Day Snap Challenge!
I made a list of all the things I would like to achieve in July to make it a really great month!

One of my 'to do's' on my list was to take a photo every day and to share it with you guys - helping me to appreciate all the little moments and niceties of the month.
But, as ever, life got in the way over the past few days so I thought I would do a bumper post of my photos!

I had a little bit of a freak on Friday. All this sunshine has totally thrown my usual wardrobe out of the window (woolly cardi's and furry boots)!
I literally tried on every summer item of clothing I owned, with clothes strewn across my bedroom floor.
After a bit of digging I came across this tartan style skirt that I bought yonks ago - but I can't decide whether I love or hate this outfit!

#6

On Saturday I woke up super early and drove to London with my mum to see the flat where my dad and I will be living next year. It's such a great apartment, sitting right on the Thames! This photo was taken once we had taken all the food supplies up the lift to the second floor and tidied it all away.
Dad got out the strawberries and we enjoyed them on the balcony with tinned Pimms watching the boats bob past.
I'm really excited about moving to London now!

#7

On Sunday, after getting back to Bath at about 1am in the morning, we all took a lazy day soaking up the sunshine. We decided to have a BBQ dinner and invited my grandma. She actually lives on my road which I'm learning is a real blessing as so many people have relatives who live hundreds of miles away. But I have 3 relatives who live within 3 minutes walk - something I used to see as a nuisance but as I get older I am learning to appreciate how lucky I am!

Monday was my GRADUATION!! It was such an amazing day and the sun was shining down on us in Birmingham!
It was really lovely as my bf's graduation was also on Monday but in the morning so he came back to campus to take some snaps of us together!
It was a great day spent with my parent, one that I will never forget!

*Just a health note to anyone else graduating during these lovely sunny July days - make sure you drink plenty of water and don't get too hot under those robes as I ended up fainting, doh! Right in the whole faculty photo, double doh!

What have you been up to in July?
Don't forget to partake in July|Positive - let me know if you are, I would love to see the photos!

31 Days, 31 Photos...

This is my nanny (left) and my mumsy (right).

Yesterday we had a lovely trip to Birmingham to watch my younger brother play with his Brass Band in the Music for Youth Festival.
The beginning of the promised July sunshine was poking his head from behind the clouds and we were able to enjoy a lovely Pizza Express lunch outside!

Apparently it's going to be a scorcher this weekend, I'm off to London tomorrow to see the flat where I will be living with my dad next year, which is very exciting!

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine!

31 Days, 31 Photos...

I can't quite believe that I'm voluntarily sharing this photo on the world wide web. *Note the sweat patch...
So clearly, yesterday I went for a run. Now, I know that hundreds, or millions of people go for a run everyday. But for me, this is a big achievement.
I always tend to get nervous and self conscious about going for a run. But now that a cycle/walk/run path has opened near my house I have the perfect place to do it! (The path involves two tunnels which are dark, so no one will see me, hurrah!)

Hopefully now that I've gone for one run, I will feel happier going for another, and another and well, you know!

What have you been getting up to?

Have you joined in July|Positive?

Yesterday I had a lovely trip to town with my mum and my nanny (her mum).
We had a poke around the sales and I managed to pick up an absolute bargain from House of Fraser!

Keep your eyes peeled to find out what the bargain was!

What did you get up to yesterday?

July|Positive: 31 Days, 31 Photos...

Untitled #33

If you saw my previous post (here), then you will know that I really want to make the most of my July and ensure that I keep things positive!

At the top of my July|Positive list was to take inspiration from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter and do my own '30 Snap Challenge'! The only difference being that July has 31 days and so I will try and take 31 photos in 31 days!
I think that this is a great idea as hopefully it will make sure I appreciate all the little things that make me happy each and every day that might otherwise go unnoticed.

So, here begins

31 Days, 31 Photos...

As with all new plans/resolutions - I am already behind schedule! I am typing this at 00:14 on July 3rd, not a great start but thiiiiings, can only get better (can only get...).

This photo sums up what I have been up to recently: working on my training contract applications and then enjoying a sneaky glass of wine and a chocolate or two in the evening!

I made this photo a jumbo photo so that you could check out the cool design on the bottle of wine, so snazzy!

So there you have my first 31 Days, 31 Photos upload! Nothing very special but I'm sure at the end of the month I will look back and smile!

Remember that you are very welcome to partake in your own Positive|July and to whip up your own list of things you want to achieve this month to make the most of it!

Kisses,
