Frankfurt Christmas Market

Last night my boyfriend and I went to the Frankfurt Christmas Market. This is one of my favourite traditions in Birmingham.

We had a few beers at home first (to ensure we didn't get too cold!) and then caught the train to Birmingham New Street.

It was a very chilly evening but we soon forgot it as the atmosphere was so warm and inviting! We strolled around the little sheds breathing in the fumes of honeywine, candied cashews and German sausage.

Sat in the heart of Birmingham, there are over 180 stalls to peruse; each selling something cute and Christmassy from nutcrackers to baubles. It was such a lovely evening, it made me feel like a little girl again as I walked through the crowds with a big grin on my face!

If you live near Birmingham I would highly recommend a trip, last night (Saturday night) was very busy but I expect it would not be quite as busy during the day. It is open every day 10am-9pm until December 22nd – and best of all this fun festive experience is completely free!

I'm such a child when it comes to Christmas, I get way too excited whenever there is a vaguely festive activity, and I highly intend to return to the market. Better yet, there is also a Christmas market in my hometown of Bath so I will certainly be popping there once I've gone home for the holidays!

I don't know if it's too early to say it or not but...
