New Shoes

I've been having a bit of a shoe crisis recently. It seems that almost every pair of shoes I own has decided to give my poor little (well, average sized really) feet blisters!

The only shoes that are still being kind to me are my favourite little ankle boots from New Look. However, because they have faux fur on them I am starting to feel that they are no longer acceptable, it is July after all. (Someone please inform the weather!)

Anyway as part of July|Positive I decided that I would finally get around to sorting out my shoe situation. After careful consideration I have concluded that this means I need to buy:

1. A pair of pumps/wedges/sandals for sunnier weather.
2. A pair of ankle boots, cowboy-esk.

But, I want them under £20 each.

I thought that this was going to be quite the challenge. However, on a girls shopping trip with my mum and nanny I came across a pair of sensible wedges. When I first saw them I wasn't totally sold, but once I saw the price tag I knew I just had to work them into my wardrobe!

£13?! What a bargain!

I love wedges. I love that they possess slimming powers, and I love that they are just so comfty!
I think that these shoes will be perfect for strolling around in the British summer, whether teamed with jeans or a floral dress!

Have you picked up any great deals in the sale?

Kisses,

Shoes For Your Feet

I love heels.
Usually I go for one with a nice platform or chunky heel.

But recently something has been creeping up on me.
Something weird.

I want to see more...foot.

Suddenly I'm gushing over strappy sandles where the foot-to-shoe ratio is at the opposite end of the spectrum to my usual preference.

What's more. I've never liked the word 'stiletto'. I always thought it was a bit chavvy. But now, it's scattered all over my internet browsing history.

I think it has a lot to do with Carrie...

Anyway, here are a few of my favourite feet-baring stilettos of the moment.

Untitled #25

1. £99, Dune.
2. £15, Kurt Geiger.
3. £75, Kurt Geiger.
4. £790, Net-a-Porter.
5. $100, Aldo.
6. £45, Asos.

Spring Has Sprung!

We are finally out of Winter, YIPPEE!! (Touch wood!)

Yes, all of a sudden the daffodils have popped up and I'm getting super excited about Spring. I love spring, it's such an exciting time of year; there's the hint that Summer's on its way, everything's so cheery and pretty - plus it means that there will be tonnes of wedges in the shops!

I wanted to share with you a few of the things I love about Spring...

Ahhh, Gossip Girl... I'm not sure who else could pull off that outfit aside from Chuck, but somehow I still think he's super hot, even though he looks like a total dwork! As for Blair, I wish this is what I could wear!

This dress is BEAUTIFUL! It's so delicate and the colours create the perfect pallete for Spring if you ask me!

Also, look at these great colours! I wish I could wear these but my butt is too large to pull it off! But, that does not mean that I cannot enjoy these lush pastel jeans from afar!

For those that don't know this is the Royal Crescent in Bath, my home town! Spring also means going back home to stay with my family in the uni holidays, but sadly this means that I will also be stuck with my head in zzz boring law books revising for summer exams, which will surely lead me to my next Spring piccy...

Yes, cocktails! Especially Cosmos! Mmm, I love sipping a nice cocktail in a street cafe with the evening sun.

Oh my word - will my obsession ever end?? Seriously though, those who check out this blog must think I have a serious problem, I've lusted after some Deborah Lippmann nail paints for so long and I've still not got any. But, look, this is so perfect for Spring, so cute! This is 'Candy Shop' and tomorrow I'm going to town with mumsy so I will march to House of Fraser and see if they have it - I've seen on the website that they do, but I don't want to get my hopes up!

Aww, and finally to my other obsession - WEDGES! How cute are these Ugg wedges?? Gimme gimme gimme!

What gets you excited about Spring? Are there any signs that Summer is on the way where you are?

Bullring Trip

This weekend my best friend from my hometown Bath came to stay with me in Brum (that’s Birmingham)!

She arrived at the local station at about 10pm on Friday night so I had a bottle of rose chilling for us when she got here. We had a lovely evening chatting and catching up on the goss!

The following morning we made a slap up breakfast and then headed to New Street for shopping! First we headed to Primark where I bought two new scarves – not the practical kind that keep you warm, no that would be too sensible… but instead I bought two pretty scarves! One has skulls on it which is kinda a Stella knockoff and the other is an oversized leopard print with pink hearts which reminds me of the Loius Vuiton scarf!

In Brum I am very lucky to have a Forever 21 and it is literally impossible for me to go in there without buying something, seriously. Last week I bought two dresses and a shirt, and on Sat I bought a pair of earrings, shoes and a clutch bag! Gahhhm it’s ridic! But, as I always tell myself, it’s a very reasonably priced shop!

The shoes and bag were an absolute steal at under £20 for the shoes and £8 for the clutch. Especially as they both look like they come from Topshop or better! My only slight issue is that all my going out dresses are a variation of this pink/purple/red so it’s tricky to put them with an outfit, still it forces me to stop wearing so much of this colour!!

In the pics the shoes look a little scuffed because I've worn them on a couple of nights out since so I've popped up the photo of them on the website too, so you can see how beautiful they were when I first bought them!
